The Holy Grail Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has so many uses it's hard to know where to begin... We cannot endorse coconut oil enough and after reading this, you will be able to see why.

Skin and hair

Coconut oil is renowned for its benefits on the skin. The oil acts as a moisture barrier for the skin with antimicrobial properties which prevents bacteria. Vitamin E, anti-microbial, and anti-inflammatory effects reduce acne development and blemishes. This is why it can be applied to reduce inflammation and relieve irritation for stubborn skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis. The moisturizing element is crucial as you can avoid using the prescribed but harsher steroid creams which can be damaging to the skin.

Another great way to use coconut oil on your skin is shaving. Throw away those shaving gels and bring in the coconut oil! It reduces Keratosis Pilaris which is a term used to describe dry, rough, and bumpy patches of skin. This can generally occur from shaving or waxing. This is not to be confused with razor bumps which coconut oil eases anyhow. So slather that oil on and get ready for those silky, smooth, and sexy legs, girl!

This multi-use product can not only replace your moisturizer and shaving cream but also hair oil. In a study coconut oil reduced protein loss when applied before or after shampooing. Whether you use coconut oil as a leave-in for thicker hair or a little on the ends then you can look forward to healthier and shinier hair.

Cooking and teeth

Can't get enough of coconut oil? why not try incorporating it into your food?

Coconut oil is so versatile that it can be used in cooking in numerous ways, including, but not limited to: frying, roasting, and baking. As you eat, even your teeth will benefit, as the oil has dental hygiene properties to protect against cavities as effectively as a mouthwash.

It contains healthy fatty acids that increase your HDL cholesterol levels (the good kind) which boosts heart health, as part of a balanced diet. Next time you cook a dish, why don't you try cooking your food with coconut oil?

That sums up why we love coconut oil so we hope you do too.

Love, BBB x
